Nikolai Lugansky recitals on medici.tv
Watch the Russian pianist in his repertoire: works by Chopin, Liszt and Rachmaninoff, three giants of romantic literature that Nikolai Luganski recorded and performed many times, and still keeps exploring them successfully.
By Frederic Chopin, he plays the peaceful Nocturne No. 8 and the Ballad No. 4. He has triumphed this year with a record of Liszt and was acclaimed by the press who introduces him as a "natural Liszt" (Classic FM Magazine), or someone who had "joined the exclusive club of Major Lisztians" (Le Monde). Here, he performs the "Water Games at Villa d'Este" by the Hungarian composer, excerpt from Years of Pilgrimage. Last but not least, the concert ends with the Piano Sonata No. 2 by his compatriot Rachmaninov.
