Sobre el programa...

Laureates from the pasts editions of the Neue Stimmen International Singing Competition gather to celebrate the competition's anniversary – live on medici.tv!

In 1987, when Liz Mohn initiated the NEUE STIMMEN International Singing Competition of Bertelsmann Stiftung at the suggestion of Herbert von Karajan and August Everding, no one could have guessed the level of success it would reach. Through continuous hard work, what began as the "European Singing Contest" with 36 applicants in its first year has since grown into one of the world's leading vocal competitions presently counting 1,422 applicants from 68 countries.

With the pre-selection process that it conducts itself, its uniform and transparent scoring system, its orchestral accompaniment in the semi-final and final concerts, its internationally renowned jury members, and above all its notable prizewinners, NEUE STIMMEN has asserted not only its position among the world's leading singing competitions but also its distinction as one of the most popular marketplaces for up-and-coming international vocal singers.
