One of the greatest voices and stage presences of the twentieth century, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa accompanies us on a journey through some of her favorite opera moments, adding her own recollections of famous venues, her thoughts on beloved operatic repertoire, and her admiration for her esteemed colleagues. Relive Dame Kiri's star turn as the Marschallin in Der Rosenkavalier under Sir Georg Solti—one of her most iconic roles with one of her most frequent collaborators—as well as her acclaimed Desdemona in Verdi's Otello and Rosalinde in Strauss's Die Fledermaus. Feel the emotion as Riccardo Muti conducts the immortal "Va, pensiero" from Nabucco at La Scala; get a taste of bohemian life with the marvelous Ileana Cotrubas and a stellar lineup in Puccini's La Bohème; marvel at the great José Carreras in the title role of Andrea Chénier; and enjoy Plácido Domingo's storied tenor voice in Offenbach's The Tales of Hoffman and Verdi's Ernani!
