Alondra de la Parra conducts Bach, Enhco, and Stravinsky — With Vassilena Serafimova, Thomas Enhco, and The Impossible Orchestra

Acclaimed composer-pianist Thomas Enhco and marimba player Vassilena Serafimova, who “adapts the art of the marimba with unlimited sensitivity” (ClassiqueNews), reunite their unique duo at this exceptional concert from the 2025 Festival Paax GNP! They begin with Bach’s Concerto BWV 1062 in C minor, a transcription of the famous Double Violin Concerto, and proceed to tackle Enhco’s own Double Concerto for Piano, Marimba, and Orchestra (2019). The evening concludes with Stravinsky’s Petrushka (1947 version), a score full of color and vitality, performed by the all-star lineup of artists in The Impossible Orchestra — which brings together musicians from preeminent orchestras all over the world — and conducted with energy and emotion by Alondra de la Parra.
