Jean-Christophe Spinosi dirige Vivaldi – Avec Philippe Jaroussky

Philippe Jaroussky meets with Jean-Christophe Spinosi and the Ensemble Matheus for a 100% Vivaldi concert.

Philippe Jaroussky and Jean-Christophe Spinosi have both done a lot for the re-discovery of Vivaldi's operas. Their recordings on the Naïve label, which has been building a beautiful "Vivaldi edition" since the year 2000, with over 100 albums released until now, are milestones of the Vivaldian repertoire. Among Jaroussky's Vivaldi recordings, we can quote La Verità in cimento, La Fida ninfa, and Orlando Furioso (all three conducted by Jean-Christophe Spinosi). Spinosi and the Ensemble Matheus have also contributed to the recording of Griselda.

In this concert, recorded in 2008 at the Chapelle de la Trinité in Lyon, the two musicians are gathered for the 100% Vivaldi program, with vocal and intrumental excerpts from Giustino, La Fida ninfa, Griselda and Orlando Finto Pazzo.
