On March 8, International Women's Day is the starting point for a regular feature we're thrilled to bring you: maestras on medici.tv! The world of classical conducting is still heavily male-dominated, but more and more extraordinarily talented women are taking up the baton all over the world, and we want you to hear how amazing they are. All year long, we'll be featuring new and live concerts led by marvelous maestras, as well as new VOD films with women conductors and composers!
The festivities kick off with the concert in Katowice, Poland, on March 8, led by the magnificent Marin Alsop, one of the most prominent figures in her field!
