Avishai Cohen Trio in Paris

One of the most prominent singer / songwriter / composers in the 21st-century jazz world, double bassist Avishai Cohen brings his bold, powerful rhythms and enchanting melodies to the stage of Paris's iconic Olympia Hall! Born in Israel, Cohen spent his teenage years in St. Louis, Missouri where, influenced by the art of Jaco Pistorius, he gave up his piano studies to spend more time honing his skill on the bass guitar. After studying the bass at the Music and Arts Academy in Jerusalem, he returned to America — this time in New York City — to make his name both as a solo artist and in successful collaborations with jazz legends like Danilo Pérez and Chick Corea. Now at the top of his field, he invites promising talents to perform with him and refine their gifts — like pianist Guy Moskovich and drummer Roni Kaspi, who join him here for another sold-out spectacle filled with sound and color, born from an irresistible mix of contemporary jazz and the music traditions that soundtracked Cohen's childhood.
