Program notes

At the 2015 Verbier Festival, the acclaimed conductor Ton Koopman is joined by violinist Renaud Capuçon and Malin Hartelius, Marie-Claude Chappuis, Tilman Lichdi and Konstantin Wolff in a program of works by Bach and Mozart, live on medici.tv.

There is a huge program for the fifth evening of live at the Verbier Festival: the conductor Ton Koopman, known for his interpretations of sacred music, will lead Mozart's monumental Requiem. Also, the program will open with Bach's Suite No. 3 in D major, followed by the Concerto for Violin and Orchestra No. 3 by Mozart, performed by the French violinist Renaud Capuçon. Before being a conductor or organist Ton Koopman was a harpsichordist and musicologist.
