Don’t miss the Tsinandali Festival 2023! Every year since 2019, the greatest performers, conductors, composers, and artists from all over the world have joined forces for 10 days in the magnificent village of Tsinandali, in eastern Georgia, to promote music in this region at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. The 2023 edition features a special celebration of the great Sergei Rachmaninov, marking 150 years since the legendary Romantic composer's birth.

This magnificent concert features two timeless favorites, beginning with piano legend Yefim Bronfman in the solo role of Schumann's heart-rending Piano Concerto in A Minor, the only one he ever wrote—and one of the most beloved of all piano concertos, full to the brim with sweeping Romantic melodies. Next, maestro Gianandrea Noseda leads his marvelously talented Pan-Caucasian Youth Orchestra in Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4 in F Minor, a tempestuous and fiery work dedicated to Tchaikovsky's close friend and patroness Nadezhda von Meck, to whom he described it as “our symphony." Despite the initially mixed response to the symphony, the composer rightly recognized that “this is not a mediocre work, but the best I have done so far"—an assessment borne out by its favorable place in the repertoire 150 years later.
