Program notes
The wickedly talented Trio Messiaen dazzle in this concert recorded during the Festival Singer-Polignac. Their program begins with Fauré’s evocative Piano Trio, followed by Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio No. 2. The ensemble, which has been in residence at the Fondation since 2014, has come to the world’s notice in 2018, when it unanimously was awarded First Prize at the Lyon International Chamber Music Competition.
