Program notes

Join extraordinary siblings, violinist Christian Tetzlaff and cellist Tanja Tetzlaff, alongside pianist Kiveli Dörken in a brilliant chamber music program presented by Bourgie Hall at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts! First up is Mozart’s Trio in E Major, the composer’s only multi-movement composition in the key, blending elegant melodies with intricate instrumental dialogue. Mendelssohn’s Trio in C Minor follows with sweeping Romanticism and profound introspection, leading perfectly into Tchaikovsky’s Trio in A Minor, which concludes the concert with melancholic melodies and heartfelt lyricism.
