The Grand Finale took place in Warsaw from October 18 to October 20. On the night of October 20, the jury decided to award the First Prize of the Chopin Competition 2015 to 21-year old South Korean pianist Seong-Jin Cho. Born on May 28, 1994, Seong-Jin Cho has studied at the Paris Conservatoire since 2012 and is now a student of French pianist Michel Beroff. He has already received the First Prize at the 2009 Hamamatsu Competition, the Third Prize at the 2011 Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, and the Third Prize at the 2014 Arthur Rubinstein Competition in Tel Aviv.
