Pianist Daniel Barenboim and soprano Anna Netrebko's 2010 recital of works by Tchaikovsky and Rimsky-Korsakov at the Berliner Philarmonie.
At the side of the great maestro Daniel Barenboim, the seductive Anna Netrebko demonstrates her multi-faceted artistry, incredible virtuosity, and vocal charm. Their all-Russian program—featuring works by composers Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky—perfectly suits the former pupil of Valery Gergiev at the Mariinsky Theater.
This was not the first time that Barenboim and Netrebko shared a stage. They already performed this program at the 2009 Salzburg Festival, a program that was recorded live and released In the Still of the Night, an album of art songs. In this film, the two musicians come together once more on the prestigious stage of the Berlin Philharmonie, captivating an audience who asked for multiple encores and gave them with a standing ovation.
