World-famous Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Flórez has spent much of his career focusing on the bel canto repertoire of masterworks by Rossini, Donizetti, Bellini, and others, but in this exciting recital, he turns his talents to Mozart’s wealth of beautiful arias for tenor! Joined by the outstanding period performance ensemble Orchestra La Scintilla led by Riccardo Minasi, the singer performs favorite arias from the Salzburg-born composer’s many brilliant operas with aplomb: from Così fan tutte to Don Giovanni, from Le Nozze di Figaro to Die Zauberflöte! The all-Mozart program takes place in Munich’s Cuvilliés Theatre, one of the most beautiful Rococo theatres in Bavaria, and the place where the premieres of Mozart’s La finta giardiniera and Idomeneo took place in 1775 and 1781.
