Sergiu Carstea — Преподаватель, трубач
Arik Amitay — Трубач
Irena Shooster — Пианист
One of the most essential works to have recast the trumpet as an instrument worthy of its own solo showpieces, George Enescu's Légende was composed in 1906 for a competition at the Paris Conservatory. Amid its recurrent and lyrical principal melody, it includes virtuosic passages of difficult chromaticism and frequent shifts in mood and tempo, reflecting the influence of Enescu's teachers Massenet and Fauré.
Professor Sergiu Carstea is an accomplished trumpeter from Moldova who has performed and taught worldwide. A graduate of the illustrious Paris Conservatory, he now serves as a professor at the National University of Music in Bucharest and the Faculty of Music of the University of West Timisoara in Romania. Carstea is the author of numerous publications relating to trumpet technique and interpretation and is often invited to conduct master classes at universities across Europe, Asia, and North Africa. He is also founder and president of the Romanian Brass Society as well as founder and artistic director of the International Brass Competition in Timisoara.
