Lukas Geniušas and Sergey Redkin play Prokofiev and Scarlatti

The outstanding young talents Sergey Redkin and Lukas Geniušas present here Prokofiev's Sonatas Nos. 5, 7, 8 and 9 and Scarlatti's Sonatas K. 450 and K. 193.

For this year’s MPHIL 360°, Valery Gergiev and the Münchner Philharmoniker join forces with the world-renowned Mariinsky Orchestra of St. Petersburg to put together a musical celebration of impressive proportions! The three day festival presents all of Sergei Prokofiev’s symphonies and piano sonatas, all five of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s violin concerti as well as selected piano sonatas by Domenico Scarlatti and works by Richard Wagner and Edward Elgar. Stars and star-ensembles of today’s classical music world will also be taking part in the performances, in particular honorees of the International Tchaikovsky competition.
