О программе
Jonas Kaufmann, one of the most sought-after tenors of our time, tackles the German music that flourished in Berlin between 1925 and 1935. He sings melodies drawn from talking movies, operettas and pop songs of one of the most artistically rich and thrilling eras in European cultural history.
Everybody who was anybody in the bohemian world was there. Every evening, the producers of revues and operetta performances were wooing audiences. Each week was marked by a new hit song. Jonas Kaufmann pays lovely tribute to this repertoire. Lehár’s You Are My Heart’s Delight and Korngold’s Glück, das mir verblieb are probably the star attractions of the programme. He is joined by soprano Julia Kleiter for three duets, the most charming of which may be Diwanpuppchen.
Together with the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin under the guidance of Jochen Rieder, Jonas Kaufmann brings these evergreens alive in the legendary recording studios of the Funkhaus Berlin, Nalepastraße.
