О программе

A young and very talented trumpet player, Lucienne Renaudin-Vary performs for the young talents concert series at the Flâneries Musicales de Reims, broadcast live on medici.tv!

Aged only 14, Lucienne Renaudin-Vary is already admired for her virtuoso talent, and has become a regular guest of prestigious orchestras, concert halls and festivals. Her career started during the month of January 2010 when she won the Selmer-Le Parnasse Competition. At the same date, she won the third price at the Concours Européen des Jeunes Trompettistes d'Alençon in the 14-17 year-old category, although she was only 11! In 2012, she won an award for each competition she performed at: Concours des Rencontres Internationales des Cuivres in Belgium, Concours des Clés d'Or in Paris, Concours des Jeunes Artistes "Maurice André" in Alès (18-25 year-old category), Concours Européen des Jeunes Trompettistes d'Alençon and Concours de Petites Mains Symphoniques.

Conducted by its music director Claude Roubichou, the Orchestre Mozart de Toulouse perform three 19th-century pieces. In connection with the soloist's young age, the works which are interpreted were all written when their composers were young. To open the concert, the Serenade for Strings in E Minor, which has been composed in 1892, is the first creation that Edward Elgar were satisfied with. The Trumpet concerto in E flat Major follows, showcasing Ms Renaudin-Vary's stunning talent. The piece, composed in 1803, is one of the first works ever written by Johann Nepomuk Hummel. Eventually, the orchestra performs Schubert's Symphony No. 5 in B flat Major, which the composer wrote at only 19 years old!
