2009년 4월 14일은 게오르크 프리드리히 헨델의 사망 250주년을 맞이한 날입니다. 이 특별한 기념일에 세계를 선도하는 두 개의 바로크 오케스트라, 네 개의 저명한 합창단 멤버들, 세 명의 뛰어난 헨델 해석자들이 솔리스트로 참여하고, 지휘자이자 헨델상 수상자인 하워드 아먼과 함께 1784년 런던 웨스트민스터 사원에서 열린 역사적인 첫 추모 음악회의 레퍼토리를 연주하며 작곡가에게 경의를 표했습니다.

게오르크 프리드리히가 세례를 받은 할레의 마르크트키르헤에서 열린 이 뛰어난 영국-독일 합동 공연은 2009년 헨델 해의 미디어 하이라이트를 대표합니다.
