These live broadcasts include two long-awaited world premieres: The Perfect American, Philip Glass's latest opera telling the – uncommon – story of Mister Walt Disney; and Charles Wuorinen's Brokeback Mountain written after Annie Proulx's short story – of which Ang Lee directed a multi-Oscar-winning cinematographic adaptation in 2005.
