Cuarteto Takács — Maestro

Behn Quartet

Barbican Quartet

Sobre el programa...

The renowned Takács Quartet works with young artists from the Behn Quartet and the Barbican Quartet, in a master class on works by Beethoven at Wigmore Hall.

Celebrated for the depth and vitality of its interpretations of Beethoven, the Takács Quartet is recognised as one of the world’s leading string quartets. It passes on its insights into Beethoven’s works for string quartet in a master class featuring the String Quartet No. 10 in E flat Major, Op. 74 and the String Quartet No. 7 in F Major, Op. 59 No. 1, "Razumovsky", with two postgraduate student ensembles: the Behn Quartet and the Barbican Quartet. The Behn Quartet takes its name from Aphra Behn, the seventeenth-century playwright, poet, philanthropist of the arts, feminist. London-based, it comprises players from England, the Netherlands, New Zealand, and Wales. On the other hand, the Barbican Quartet was founded in 2014 in the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where its members study individually. The young Quartet regularly performs in the UK and Europe and will make its Wigmore Hall debut in 2017.

The master class follows the Takács Quartet’s concert of three Beethoven string quartets at Wigmore Hall, also available on medici.tv!
