Sobre el programa...
On the occasion of Zubin Mehta’s 80th birthday, the director Bettina Ehrhardt celebrates the legendary conductor with a documentary about his extraordinary life.
From his childhood in India to the most important stages in the world (graced by artists such as José Carreras, Plácido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti), what has never changed over time is Mehta’s humanity and golden heart, which have made him popular among the widest possible audience. “Success has not gone to his head. He’s the same Zubin now as I knew him [when] he was a little kid,” says his childhood friend Yusuf Hamied. His keen social interest is, in fact, shown by the opening of the Mehli Mehta Music Foundation, named in honor of his father and dedicated to teaching classical music to the children of Bombay.
Beyond the unrivaled artistic career of this exceptional conductor, Ehrhardt’s fascinating film pays tribute to Mehta’s kind soul. As the title suggests, he is a man, after all, driven by Good Thoughts, Good Words, Good Deeds.
