Sobre el programa...
Messiah, one of the Saxon Master Handel’s most famous works, performed in the strictest British tradition by the King’s Consort.
The oratorio Messiah, created in a small church in Dublin in 1742, has travelled through centuries in order to become Georg Friedrich Handel's biggest triumph. Rumor has it that the famous Hallelujah moved King George the Second so much that he stood up, followed by the audience, a gesture the British audience still perpetuates today.
Who better than King Robert and his famous King’s Consort could honour such a program? Composed of a powerful orchestra and a choir, the British formation, which has traveled the globe for more than 30 years, is accompanied by great soloists invited for the event. In the Church of Notre-Dame de Liesse, they will join forces to make us revive the spirit of an area.
