Sobre el programa...

Every year, the French city of Reims opens its doors to musicians of all stripes for the Flâneries Musicales! One of the highlights of this year's festival: two young virtuosos in a recital featuring works by Kreisler, Tartini, Dvořák, Brahms, and Paganini.

In a recital of solo works for violin and piano, Canadian violinist Kerson Leong and Ukrainian pianist Christia Hudziy explore the compositions and arrangements of legendary violinist and composer Fritz Kreisler.

One of the most promising violinists of his generation, Kerson Leong first made his mark on the international stage at the age of 13 when he won first prize for juniors at the Menuhin Competition in 2010. He has gone on to pursue an international solo career, performing at the world's most prestigious venues like London's Wigmore Hall and Paris' Auditorium du Louvre, and working with acclaimed conductors like Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Peter Oundjian, Augustin Dumay, and Jacques Lacombe. In 2016 he released his first solo album, entitled "Bis", to great critical acclaim.

After winning numerous prizes and scholarships and studying at the CNSM de Paris, Ukrainian pianist Christia Hudziy went on to study at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Belgium, where she has now become a piano accompanist for the class of Augustin Dumay. She regularly performs at international festivals and in chamber music concerts around the world.
