Ivan Bessonov plays Mozart's Piano concerto No. 21 in C Major, K. 467

Ivan is a student of E.Margulis' class at the Lyakhovitskaya Children's School of Art in Saint-Petersburg.

He is a winner of last six etude-competitions at St.Petersburg Music Lyceum of the Committee for Culture (2010-2016, Grand Prix); the International F. Chopin Competition for Young Pianists in St.Petersburg (2015, Grand Prix); the X International Competition named after Rubinstein A.G. "Miniature in Russian music" in St.Petersburg (2016, I prize). He is also a laureate of St. Petersburg Government award "Young Talents" (2016).

The young pianist willingly composes and improvises. He made his debut as a professional composer in 2015, when he composed soundtrack for film by V. Kosakovsky "Varicella". Literature and dramatic reading are among his hobbies.
