Georges Prêtre dirige Respighi: poemas sinfónicos

Respighi's symphonic poems are the best known pieces in Italian symphonic music, and a strong point of the Filarmonica della Scala – which performed them with Gavazzeni, Maazel, Muti and Chailly – but they are missing from Filarmonica Seasons for a number of years.

Filarmonica della Scala discovers again these pieces with Georges Prêtre, a great conductor who contributed to the history both of Teatro alla Scala and Filarmonica della Scala. An orchestra of which he had been a regular guest since its third concert, in April 1982.
