Sobre el programa...

Watch the final round of the International Singing Competition Neue Stimmen, live from the Stadthalle Gütersloh! The talented young singers are joined by the Duisburger Philharmoniker under the direction of Graeme Jenkins. Congratulations to Svetlina Stoyanova and Cho Chanhee, First Prize Winners of the 2017 International Singing Competition Neue Stimmen!

Every two years, more than 1,000 singers worldwide audition for the International Singing Competition Neue Stimmen. The competition then invites a select group of around 40 young singers to demonstrate their talents in front of an international jury of opera house directors, music critics, voice professors, and renowned artists, with Vienna State Opera Director Dominique Meyer as chairman. The singers who arrive in the semi-final and final rounds perform opera arias accompanied by orchestra in two public concerts at the Stadthalle Gütersloh. In addition to the prize money, winners have access to a rich offering of networking opportunities, concerts, masterclasses, coachings, and publicity support, helping them build on their successes and develop their considerable talents. With 30 years under its belt, Neue Stimmen continues in its mission to bring the stars of tomorrow to today's opera stages!
