Kayleigh Decker, mezzo-soprano, described as showing "poise and promise" (culturedcleveland.com), is in her final year of study at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where she studies with Professor of Singing, Timothy LeFebvre. In recent Oberlin Opera Theatre productions, she has been seen as Mutter in Hänsel und Gretel, Prince Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus, and Mrs. Herring in Albert Herring. In past summers, Decker has been a young artist at Opera Neo, performing Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro, and Lyrique-en-mer Festival de Belle-Île in France. This past summer she was a Festival Artist at Utah Festival Opera, where she covered the role of Erika in Samuel Barber's Vanessa and Laurey in Oklahoma!. In Utah, she was also a finalist in the Michael Ballam Concorso Lirico International Opera Competition. She has participated in master classes with such notable artists as Marilyn Horne, Mildred Miller, Brian Zeger, Michael Austin and Daniel Helfgot.
