Tony Tixier in Clermont-Ferrand
Jazz en tête 2012
Thank you for your understanding.
Tony Tixier Quartet — Pianist, drummer, double bassist, saxophonist
Scott Tixier — Violinist
The twin brothers, Tony and Scott Tixier amaze the audience with their unwavering virtuosity during Jazz en tête in 2012. Both of them have played with the greats - Tony at the piano has played alongside artists such as McCoy Tyner and Dee Dee Bridgewater, and Scott on violin has most notably played with Stevie Wonder during the recording of his album Songs in the Key of Life between 2014 and 2015. The pair’s pure and sensitive partnership is strengthened by the Tony Tixier quartet.
Even if the brothers have have developed their talents and careers as solo artists, they seem to have never lost the natural lineage that connects them. As testimony to their inherent connection, they received the first prize in the Trophées de Sunside in 2007. This concert is fundamentally the fiery emblem of this impermeable connection and a jewel in their musical collaboration. To sum up in four words: a triumph for fraternity!
