For this concert in Porquerolles, Marc Ribot and his band ‘Los Cubanos Postizos’ commemorate Cuban guitarist and composer Arsenio Rodríguez. On the program: an energetic and free-spirited musical style, blending rock, Afro-Cuban music, and improvisation, sublimated by the biting and inimitable sound of the New-York guitarist!
American guitarist and composer Marc Ribot is a major figure on the New-York scene. An eclectic musician, he has been active since the mid-80s and has collaborated with a wide variety of artists including Chuck Berry, Tom Waits, Elvis Costello, McCoy Tyner, James Carter, Diana Krall, Mike Patton, Vinicio Caposella, Alain Bashung, and even with John Zorn amongst other musicians from ‘Electric Masada’ and ‘Bar Kokhba Sextet’.
