Larnell Lewis and his six accompanying musicians perform in a sublime concert during the Jazzahead Festival 2022. Known for his performances in the fusion band Snarky Puppy—as well as for his successful YouTube channel—Larnell Lewis is above all a gifted drummer, composer, and producer who has worked with the greats: Gregory Porter, Lalah Hathaway, Pat Metheny, Steve Gadd, Dave Holland, etc. This 2022 concert highlights his masterful, passionate, and elegant playing—a testament to his experience among the best musicians.
Alongside him are guitarist Elmer Ferrer, bassist Rich Brown, multi-instrumentalist Rob Christian, pianist Jeremy Ledbetter, and steel pannist Joy Lapps. Gravitating between ambient atmospheric music with electronic sounds and moments of classical, acoustic cohesion, this concert is a nebulous and exciting musical exploration.
