Program notes
At the 2016 edition of Banlieues Bleues, saxophonist Francesco Bearzatti presents This Machine Kills Fascists with the Tinissima Quartet, a project loosely inspired by the world of American folk singer Woody Guthrie. Alongside Giovanni Falzone on trumpet, Danilo Gallo on bass, and Zeno de Rossi on drums, the musicians revisit Guthrie's melodies and rebellious spirit, weaving them into the language of jazz through lively rearrangements and engaging in collective improvisation with infectious energy.
