The Erik Truffaz Quartet in Ramatuelle

The Erik Truffaz Quartet take the stage at the Jazz in Ramatuelle Festival, in the south of France, performing an action packed set full of experimentation, atmospheres and grooves. Truffaz, joined by Marcello Giuliani on bass, Tao Ehrlich on drums and Benoît Corboz on keys, use effect pedals, electronic instruments and different techniques to create various different sounds out of their instruments. Truffaz’s playing style is packed with influences from other genres of music, such as hip hop and electronic dance music, and his pursuit of fusing these genres together brings us a unique take on jazz music. This two hour set flies by as Truffaz takes the listener on a musical journey, exploring his compositions and jazz standards, in his own style.
