For this concert at the Bielska Zadymka Jazzowa Festival in Poland, Dave Holland joins forces with remarkable saxophonist and composer Chris Potter and prodigious drummer Obed Calvaire to create an imaginative musical program.

An emblematic companion of Miles Davis’s electric period in the late 60s, British bassist and composer Dave Holland is one of the greatest creators in the history of jazz. After his experience with Miles Davis’s bands, Dave Holland formed the group ‘Circle’ with Chick Corea, Barry Altschul, and Anthony Braxton, which set the tone for a more formal approach to the inventions of free jazz. From the 1980s onwards, the bassist developed a rich musical style with a great melodic force and an elegant rhythmic complexity alongside his bands and Steve Coleman.
