The Bridge – Les Amis Américains in la Seine-Saint-Denis

At the Banlieues Bleues Festival 2020, three magnificent duos of French and American musicians performed as part of the transatlantic exchange network, The Bridge. Incredibly gifted instrumentalists Claudia Solal, Benoît Delbecq, Mike Ladd, Mathieu Sourisseau, Joëlle Léandre, and Bernard Santacruz took center stage in this beautiful concert, marking a poignant dedication to the absence of American friends and the creation of a new world focused on reinventing art.

The festivities commenced with talented singer and pianist Claudia Solal. Her father, Martial Solal, taught her the instrument and gave her a pronounced enthusiasm for creation, originality, elegance, and musicality. Pianist Benoît Delbecq, an established and respected name in the international contemporary jazz scene, accompanied her to perfection with his characteristic pianistic fervor.
