Yet, when an accountant of the Geneva's Grand Théâtre turns videographer to capture the backstage performances of all those who made the Wagner's Ring cycle production possible, the great masterpiece becomes magic and the world of opera suddenly accessible to anyone. The Ring of the Nibelung – a cycle of four operas with a total playing time of about 15 hours – recounts the Gods' decline and the advent of a all new breed, the humans' one.
