An award-winning American composer of international renown. A billionaire's son whose life has been riddled with scandal and tragedy. Peter Rosen explores the life and work of Gordon Getty in this fascinating documentary.

The fourth child of one of the most infamous billionaires of the 20th century, American composer Gordon Getty has benefited and suffered under the banner of his family's wealth, corruption, and eccentricity. Peter Rosen explores the intricate ties between Getty's composing career and his personal life, following him over the course of nine years during the composition, rehearsal, recording, and performance of two full-length operas, a cantata, and numerous chamber music works.
