Program notes

Every year since 2000, the Young Euro Classic Festival has offered youth orchestras from all over the world an invaluable chance to get together for the three-week experience of a young lifetime, performing concerts in some of Berlin's most prestigious venues! In 2021, a young ensemble of German, French, and Russian musicians performed a program honoring the musical traditions of their home countries under the baton of maestra Ariana Matiakh — including Fauré's Pelléas et Mélisande, Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No. 1 with virtuoso Veronika Eberle, and Beethoven's extraordinary Symphony No. 7.
