The incredible experience of the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition continues on medici.tv: watch the second day of the Final Round of the Violin Competition, featuring two of the six young violinists selected to play. They will perform a concert on the stage of the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow!
For the first time, medici.tv is the official partner of the Competition and has broadcast all the performances and more during the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition, live from Moscow and Saint Petersburg. For the occasion, medici.tv has created a brand new website: http://tch15.medici.tv. After the last two weeks, making it through two rounds of selection, the violinists must now give their all in the Final of the Tchaikovsky Competition. Six violinists have prevailed to the Finals: Pavel Milyukov, Alexandra Conunova, Bomsori Kim, Yu-Chien Tseng, Clara-Jumi Kang and Haik Kazazyan.
For this second day of the Final Round of violin, Bomsori Kim and Yu-Chien Tseng both perform Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 35. Bomsori also performs Brahms's Violin Concerto in D major, while Yu-Chien Tseng chose to perform Sibelius's Violin Concerto in D minor. They are accompanied by the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Yury Simonov.
The announcement of the winners will be broadcast live from the Awards Ceremony on medici.tv on July 1st and on http://tch15.medici.tv On July 3rd, following the Concert of the Laureates in Saint Petersburg, one Grand Prix may also be awarded to one of the candidates...
