Lisa Batiashvili, Marc-André Hamelin, and the Schumann Quartet perform Chausson and Beethoven

Don’t miss violinist Lisa Batiashvili, pianist Marc-André Hamelin, and the Schumann Quartet in a stunning chamber music program at the Tsinandali Festival 2026! Dedicated to his teacher Antonio Salieri, Beethoven’s Violin Sonata No. 3 in E-flat Major is an early work brimming with classical elegance and youthful vigor, brought to vivid life by Batiashvili and Hamelin. The duo are then joined by the Schumann Quartet in a powerful performance of Ernest Chausson’s Concerto for Violin, Piano, and String Quartet, Op. 21: an unusual, majestic composition that fuses the conventions of a Baroque concerto grosso, a double concerto, and a piano sextet.
