Gábor Takács-Nagy conducts Haydn's Creation – With Miah Persson, Bernard Richter, Peter Mattei, and Andreas Bauer

“Never was I so devout as when I composed The Creation. I knelt down each day to pray to God to give me strength for my work…” Haydn did manage to finish his oratorio and the success was overwhelming! It is now considered to be his last great masterpiece. Under the baton of their music director Gábor Takács-Nagy, the musicians of the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra (VFCO) take on this chef-d’œuvre with soprano Miah Persson, tenor Bernard Richter, baritone Peter Mattei, and bass Andreas Bauer as soloists.
