As part of its "Figures Féminines" cycle, the Philharmonie de Paris hosts a concert featuring Insula orchestra conducted by Laurence Equilbey. The Insula orchestra's repertoire is mainly dedicated to the Classical and the Romantic music—it is a period instrument orchestra. Laurence Equilbey, who is the founder and the musical director of the orchestra, invits pianist Nicholas Angelich to join them on stage.

This concert features Beethoven's Symphony No. 3, "Eroica" and Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4. The symphony was composed in honor of Bonaparte and the French Revolution's values in 1804. The Piano Concerto No. 4 was composed almost at the same time. It is a masterpiece of the piano repertoire.
