The French repertoire is at the heart of this programme, presented by the dazzling Quatuor Métamorphoses: it combines the famous Debussy String Quartet with that of Saint-Saëns, a little-known work where the rustling inspirations of nature, also dear to the composer of La Mer, progressively give way to dazzling virtuosity and rigorous structural work, inherited from Beethoven.
