Program notes

The Berliner Philharmoniker invites Gustavo Dudamel and Gautier Capuçon for the orchestra's traditional birthday concert, performed this year at the Spanische Hofreitschule in Vienna!

Every year the Berliner Philharmoniker commemorate their founding in 1883 with the Europakonzert at a venue of cultural importance in a different European city. This year the Berliner Philharmoniker under the baton of internationally acclaimed conductor Gustavo Dudamel welcome one of the world's leading cellists, Gautier Capuçon.

Gustavo Dudamel, the fiery conductor from Venezuela is back on medici.tv, more than a year after the Silvesterkonzert at the Berliner Philharmonie!

The 22nd Europakonzert takes place at the magnificent building of the Spanische Hofreitschule in Vienna. The Spanish Riding School, a significant part of Austria's cultural heritage, is not only the oldest riding academy in the world, it is also the only one where the High School of Classical Horsemanship has been cherished and maintained for over 430 years.
