Dimitri Malignan — Pianist

Program notes

Barely 20 years old, Dimitri Malignan pays tribute to his favorite composers at the 29th edition of Reims’s Flâneries musicales. Winner of the 2017 Alfred Cortot Prize and celebrated for his subtle playing, the young virtuoso performs Bach’s Capriccio “on the departure of a beloved brother” in B-flat Major (Capriccio sopra la lontananza del suo fratello dilettissimo), Schumann’s Sonata No. 1 in F-sharp Minor, Barber’s Ballade, and 3 Préludes by Debussy. A new generation of talented young musicians is on the rise !
