Program notes

Watch Barbare Tataradze's performance during the Round II of the Grand Piano Competition. She interprets Chopin's Piano concerto No. 2 in F Minor, Op. 21.

Barbare is studying at E. Mikeladze Central Musical School. Her teacher is N. Natsvlishvili. Barbare frequently takes part in international festivals and contests, including: the International Competition for Pianists in the Netherlands (I prize); the I International F. Chopin Competition for Young Pianists in Tbilisi (2010, Special Jury Award); the V Republican Young Pianists Competition in Tbilisi (2011, Special Award of the Italian Embassy), the Batumi MusicFest International Festival (2014, Special Audience Award).

She is a scholar of the SOS Talents Foundation created by Michel Sogny; she also participates in concerts organized by the foundation. The young pianist’s performances were broadcast by Mezzo и TV5 Monde.

She takes part in master-classes in France, Switzerland and other countries.
