Program notes

Happy International Dance Day! This special event was established in 1982 and to celebrate this April 29, we invite you to explore the basics of classical ballet with our series of videos “Parlez-vous ballet?”. Set in front of various emblematic monuments of Paris, Nathan Bisson and Victoire Anquetil, dancers at the Opéra de Paris, demonstrate elementary ballet steps over the music of Coppélia by Delibes. So make yourself comfortable and feast your eyes and ears while learning the vocabulary of classical dance!

Of course, dancing is not limited to classical ballet! Contemporary choreographies and reimagined classic masterpieces await you in our playlist created especially for International Dance Day to be discovered right away.
