The Pages and the Chantres, the Symphonists of the Centre de musique baroque de Versailles

Composed of young singers having benefited from the Maîtrise curriculum, this unique vocal ensemble for French Baroque music, under the direction of Olivier Scheebeli, is a reconstitution of vocal formations such as those that could be heard in the Chapelle Royale de Versailles at the beginning of the 18th century.

Associating the voices of children (the Pages) for the soprano and mezzo-soprano parts, to those of adults (the Chantres: soprano, counter tenor, tenor, baritone, bass), for more than twenty years, this formation with its unique vocal colour has enabled audiences to rediscover the religious and lyric repertoire composed in the 17th and 18th centuries at the Court of Versailles and for the major institutions of the kingdom.
