It was for his skills in ancient music and in training child and adult voices that Vincent Berthier de Lioncourt invited Olivier Schneebeli to Versailles in 1991 to direct the Pages & Chantres of the Centre de musique baroque. At the head of the choir in many of its performances, he is also in charge of the curriculum of the Ecole Maîtrisienne which provides high-level professional training for adult singers and special classes within the French public school system for children.
The special nature of this unique institution, at the crossroads between production and education, also benefits from the close partnerships established over the years with the Departments of Ancient Music of the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Versailles [Regional Conservatory of Versailles] and the Ecole Nationale de Musique et de Danse de la Vallée de Chevreuse (Orsay) [National School of Music and Dance of the Vallée de Chevreuse].
