Nayo Titzin

About

Nayo Titzin is a Bulgarian filmmaker. He has a Master degree of Arts from the Bulgarian National Music Academy. He studied cinematography in the Bulgarian National Film Academy and the University of Southern California (USC). From 1993 until 2002 Titzin was a news-reporter for the Evening news in Bulgarian National Television. In 2003 together with his friend - the director Dimitar Kotzev-Shosho, he founded the production company SPOTLIGHT foe which he is producing and directing historic and music-documentaries.

His documentary "Looking for Don Giovanni" won the Golden Artist Award at the HD Festival for Digital Film 2006 in Munich and was screened at Sofia Film Fest 2007, Golden Prague International TV Festival and Midoc Festival – Milano.

The documentary produced and directed by Nayo Titzin "Facing Agrippina" was in the official selection for the competition at FIPA 2011 in Biarritz and at International Festival of Films on Art (FIFA) in Montreal 2012. The film won WMIFF Award for Best Cinematography in music documentary, in Washington 2011 and it was includes as a bonus DVD along the Awarded CD recording of Agrippina by Harmonia Mundi.
